Amazon Fire TV Setup
Universal Remote works with Fire TV Stick (all generations), Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Stick 4K Max, Fire TV Cube, and Fire TV Edition TVs.
How to Connect
- Connect your iPhone and Fire TV to the same WiFi network
- Open Universal Remote — it scans for Fire TV devices
- Tap your Fire TV device to connect
- If prompted, confirm the connection on your Fire TV
- Start controlling your Fire TV!
Common Issues
Fire TV not found
- Fire TV devices can sometimes be difficult to discover. Try entering the IP address manually
- Find the IP on your Fire TV: Settings → My Fire TV → About → Network
- Make sure both devices are on the same WiFi (not a guest network)
- Restart your Fire TV: Settings → My Fire TV → Restart
Connection unstable
- Fire TV Stick devices can have weak WiFi reception — move the device closer to your router
- Consider using an HDMI extender if your Fire TV Stick is behind the TV
- Check for Fire TV software updates: Settings → My Fire TV → About → Check for Updates
